Private School..ahhhh

We are strong believers in God and catholic and wanted our kids to have that same background so we enrolled them in a Cathloic school....

my adhd son can no longer go to St Peters since he has these horrible tantrums even after being on concerta..It helps his attention and listens better but now when he is told what to do that has a whole other effect. He was formally diagnosed in October adhd and odd Oppositional defiant disorder , Well I as the teacher keep forgetting this link....you say yes he says no even if it is really yes.

So they want to start him on an antidepressant...I personally am a bit hesitant to start the antidepressant.

Since it is the end of the year and he is failing K, we have agreed to start him in Kindergarten at the public school next year and see how things go there.

This has been one very long school year, We were originally going to switch him schools after xmas break but he was doing so great, but since he began concerta the teachers , whihc had not been puching the rules on him decided they would try now. Which let me tell you was a nightmare. He would kick and scream and tell people he hated them...so now we are in quite the predicament.

Its not that i dont like public schools cause i went to public school but i dont agree with certain ways they do things. like the whole not doing the pledge of allegince, No celebrating of holidays, like when I was in school. The xmas program that has no meaning for what xmas stands for. But the privvate sector does nto have the man power to handle my loving Rafael or the resources.

Which brings us to another dilema, the twins start school next year, so do we send tmy oldest and the twins to private school and Rafael to public....what to do?
