so, i'm certified.


my psychiatrist has started me on concerta, and i'll be seeing her regularly for counseling.


her official diagnosis was ADD and depression, but she wasn't sure if the depression came out of my ADD (as a side-effect) or alongside it. (don't know the official lingo for those 2 things.) she decided to make an educational guess and treat the ADD first whilst counseling me through the depression stuff. i'm actually relieved about…

and i'm feeling pretty good after a jumbo margarita + chicken nachos at the (only) local mexican restaurant - our favorite impromptu-date-hang-out. i love my husband.


ian will be joining me tomorrow for my psychiatric appt. not sure how normal that is for anyone else, but i've known my husband for... almost 25 years? ever since 7th grade, 11/12 years old. if anyone knows me, it's ian - my best friend since childhood.

i've been getting increasingly antsy as saturday draws near. not sure why, except that i'm simply anxious for my psychiatrist appt to arrive. i'm tired of waiting. i can think of little else.


until the last 10 years, i always thought i was a good planner/organiser/administrator. not because i wanted that kind of job, but because i could do almost anything if push came to shove. i'm an awesome suitcase packer; i'm just not good at unpacking at the end of a trip. i got good…

i've got an appointment on saturday with my son's new psychiatrist. we saw her last week to finally have darma formally diagnosed with ASD/Asperger's Syndrome. we realised he had AS when he was 3 or 4, but haven't felt the need for formal diagnosis until now. he is 7.5: a beautiful, gentle, and guileless boy how taught himself to read, draws all day, and loves 'calvin & hobbes' & 'magic school bus'.
