Late Diagnosis Guilt

Hello to you all from England,
I was wondering, if you had children with ADHD, how you thought/coped with the fact that they had a late diagnosis?
What I read on this site is very positive in the most part but I wonder how Mums felt when their sons and daughters were diagnosed at 14/15 years old?
