I keep reading about ADD and disorganization. But I am just the opposite. If a crumb is out of the way I feel like the walls are closing in on me. I am also recovering from Anorexia and Bulimia.

Can anyone relate???

Not sure if you are still looking for a response but I am in behavioral therapy for ADHD and OCD... I tend to be more obsessive about thigs and have a hard time adjusting to when things don't go or are not set up the way I think they should be. My partner is very understanding and works with me by saying things like, " why don't we try keeping this over here for a little bit and see if it is going to be okay." Most the time I will be anxious about it for a little while but will then relax some. The difference in our view of cleaning took awhile for both of us to adjust too but we finally worked thru it.

Hope this helps some...

That makes sense to me. I have wondered about that. Other people watch me somtimes and make jokes about OCD. If it is present I am fortunate that it is mild. I looked up an article I read once for you. It says that up to 25% of people with ADD also have OCD and that the two things should be assessed ant treated seperately. Here is the link.

Thanks for your comments. That link was very interesting. The doctor put me on a very lose dose of Methylin ER and although one of the side affects would be weight loss, I have found that since it seems to really help with the OCD and other compulsion tendacies I just don't seem to think or worry about food all the time. Therefore it's helping the issue of my eating disorder issues. I also have had to start making myself worry about the house just so it stays clean, when before it was obsessive to me. I feel I can stay so much more on track too.
