My kid's doc recommended Omega Brite. It's fish oil, and while it's more expensive than regular fish oil, I think they did have some actually research that showed it helped. It's good for you anyway, so I figured their was no real downside. We both take it. I am not SURE it's helping, but it's a recommended supplement that has some actual research behind it.

There have been some large studies indicating that zinc is very important. Most kids vitamins have only a little zinc. The recommended amount is 17mg and most kids vitamins have 2.5mg. It is found in oysters and lamb but not many kids eat these. A few studies have said that magnesium and vitamin C are helpful. The amino acids have not been shown to be much help.
