I have no info but YAY!!!!! I hope it works wonderfully for you!!!
Yeah Sarah! Why didn't Ritalin work?

How expensive is it? Our daughters are both on Strattera and our insurance just changed. Strattera is now $65 to $75 for three months as opposed to $15 for three months. Add this with the rest of the medication we all take and it adds up. This sounds, horrible but I've considered asking the doctor if there's another medication or combo which would give them similar effects. But, it's working so how can I rock the boat?

I take adderall and it has been a huge improvement. Don't give up if you have some side effects at first, like irritability or whatever. I took Adderall 5 years ago and quit because I thought it made me irritable and depressed. I found out just this summer that I had been taking too low a dose and was having rebound effects. I think the stimulant does make me more anxious and, around my period, more irritable, but adding Wellbutrin and now a small dose of Prozac takes the edge off and I feel better than I've ever felt. I wish I had learned that five years ago. I spent the last five years saying that I couldn't take Adderall because it made me crazy mean.

So, just from my experience, give yourself some time to adjust the dose if necessary and don't get discouraged.

Where are you in Canada? I'm below Lake Erie in Ohio. We're kinda neighbors.

Take Care,

Heather
This just occurred to me. -Can you tell I'm a writer? I just can't stop!- Try to isolate your ADD symptoms when you take it. For example, do you feel more awake? Can you read a page in a book without having to re-read it. Stuff like that. The depression and anxiety may still be there even if the Concerta is working. So, don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Other symptoms can be treated with other medications if need be.

Sorry, I'll stop.

I took it for awhile then was off of it for awhile to get the antidepressant "right" and then, added 36mg of Concerta to Effexor and now, I feel great most of the time. I DO still have "off" days and get frustrated about those "off" days, but overall I feel soooo much better; Concerta by itself was okay, but I was super anxious and eventually depressed (didn't really feel it sneak up on me if that makes sense).
Hey---small electronic world we live in...I have family in the Walkerton area.
very cool.. good old walkerton!!! lol

Just stared today. I'm very curious about how your bodies responded.I'm scared of having some adverse reaction. Since, I've never taken medication for a mental disability. How did you all keep track of your bodies response in the beginning?
